In Ukraine, the health care system has been reforming, and the Ministry of Health is actively forming a new team.
We are pleased to announce that Mladena Kachurets who was the head of BRDO’s medical sector has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Health. Prior to that, our expert served also as the adviser to the acting Minister of Health. This decision was published yesterday on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Mladena was dealing with the professional licensing of doctors, which is a new system of access to the medical profession. It establishes the doctor’s personal responsibility for the quality of medical care provided and the recognition that the most important part of the doctor’s work is their professionalism, knowledge and practice. The concept of introducing professional licensing of doctors was submitted for public consultations with the medical community, and their conclusions and recommendations have already formed the basis of a relevant draft law that will be presented in parliament by the end of September.
