The Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO) is actively involved in improving Ukraine’s regulatory environment. We conduct a systematic analysis of market regulation, as well as a review of regulatory tools, procedures, and specifics of their application.
This work results in a list of regulatory acts drafted by BRDO experts independently or in cooperation with other organizations, public authorities, MPs, and others.
Rolling review is a review of market regulation conducted to improve its quality (effectiveness), in particular:
- regulatory environment reviews;
- assessment of the market regulation quality and drafting of the new regulation taking into account the experience of past decisions;
- preparation of recommendations for systematic improvement of regulations;
- implementation of the interaction of the state, business, and society to engage entrepreneurs in the self-regulation process.
Improving the regulation firewall is aimed at increasing the efficiency in drafting new regulatory acts provided for, in particular, by the Law of Ukraine “On Basic Principles of the State Regulatory Policy”.
Together with the State Regulatory Service, we are testing the current regulatory impact assessment Methodology to assess the regulation adoption (with annexes) and analyzing the results of its application.
Developing effective regulation concepts and ensuring their implementation is based on the comprehensive assessment of state regulation of certain sectors, economic segments, or certain markets, and the use of certain regulatory methods or tools.
