Military personnel can submit a report on changing their place of service between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine online via the Army+ app.
The BRDO team participated in the preparation of regulatory changes and helped implement new functionality in the app in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
How to submit a report?
In the app, select the section «Change of place of service» and the direction of transfer — from the Armed Forces to the National Guard or vice versa.
The following documents must be attached to the electronic report:
- a copy of your military ID or officer’s certificate (all pages with entries);
- a letter of recommendation (reference) from the commander of the unit to which you plan to transfer;
- the conclusion of the Military Medical Commission — if the position is to be changed due to health reasons (in such cases, the commander’s approval is not required).
What are the deadlines?
- The personnel authorities within the department check the data within 7 days.
- The commander of the current unit has 48 hours to approve or reject the request. If there is no response, approval is deemed to have been granted.
- The transfer is carried out within 30 days of the unit receiving the order, and the servicemember receives a notification in Army+.
Why is this important?
The introduction of a digital transfer procedure makes the process clear and predictable for military personnel. Procedures that previously required numerous approvals and paper documents can now be completed online. This reduces the administrative burden on personnel services and allows for faster decision-making on transfers.
Details of the new transfer procedure are available in the infographic.
