A draft law No.1052 “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Construction Standards” opens the way to implement innovations in the construction industry.
Previously, all standards were prescriptive and overregulated. They did not allow to introduce new technologies and materials in the market transparently and quickly.
The draft law promotes a more progressive, parametric design method when establishing requirements of construction standards. It provides specialists with unlimited opportunities to create and make the best construction decisions based on available data.
In addition, it reduces the number of mandatory requirements to construction standards, improves the process of their publication and increases the number of basic organizations that can provide standardization services in construction.
The new law will boost competition in the market of design services while increasing their quality.
