New business cases for tourism in Chornobyl appeared on the Start Business Challenge platform

Better Regulation Delivery Office together with the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management developed step-by-step instructions for starting a business on tourist visits to the exclusion zone and zone of absolute (mandatory) resettlement.

They contain all the necessary documentation and tips for opening a travel agency and tour operator to provide services in the exclusion zone and zone of absolute resettlement.

Currently, the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management together with the Better Regulation Delivery Office are reviewing all special permits to conduct certain activities in the exclusion zone and zone of absolute (mandatory) resettlement provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime in the Area of Radioactive Contamination Caused by the Chornobyl Disaster” in terms of their practicability as well as are reviewing the documents required to obtain them. The results will be:

  • an exhaustive list of special permits to conduct certain activities in the exclusion zone and zone of absolute (mandatory) resettlement along with clearly regulated procedures to obtain them, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Permit System in the Sphere of Economic Activity” and the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Services”;
  • relevant legislative changes;

business cases developed for each of the activities in the exclusion zone and zone of absolute (mandatory) resettlement that will appear on the platform https://sbc.regulation.gov.ua/ and on the website of the State Agency Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management.
