Broadband Internet access (BBA) is needed to build a modern economy. At the same time, there is one issue related to infrastructure access that has been hindering the development of fixed BBA in Ukraine for many years. BRDO IT&Telecom experts have developed 7 of 10 regulatory acts necessary to ensure free access of operators and providers to infrastructural facilities and implement the Law No.1834-VIII adopted two years ago.
And finally, the latest Procedure for charging fees for access to infrastructure elements of transport facilities has been officially published. This means that the BRDO Office completely finished the development and adoption of 7 regulatory acts allowing to put the Law “On Access to Construction, Transport and Energy Facilities to Develop Telecommunication Networks” into practice.
According to our expectations, the simplified access will lead to the availability of fixed BBA for 14 million people (compared to the today’s 5 million people) as well as facilitate the introduction of telemedicine identified as priority and E-Learning, E-Health, E-Commerce and other areas that should raise the standard of living of citizens.
We thank to the leading telecommunication associations as well as ministries and agencies for their assistance!
